diningOne of the best places in town for a family meal has to be Shuckers Seafood & Pasta Restaurant on Swanton’s Airport Highway which is owned by a local family and has been serving its delicious food here for almost twenty years. It is not difficult to find either thanks to the large sailboat situated on the roof of the restaurant which can be seen from all over town. The entire restaurant has a nautical theme to it and stepping inside you will feel that you have just come off the dock as you enter the interior as this also closely resembles the inside of a ship. As well as a wide selection of all your favorite fish and pasta dishes including their renowned Clam Chowder – deemed to be the best in the region – and a selection of daily and monthly specials. There are also special offers where customers can dine on specific days and times at a reduced rate including the $9.99 special that allows diners to choose any dish from the weekly or special menus Sundays through to Thursdays. The environment is relaxed and friendly while their well trained staff are both helpful and courteous. A full carry-out menu is also available for those who prefer to take their food away to eat at home and opening hours are Tuesday to Thursday 11am to 10pm, Friday 11am to 11pm, Saturday 4.30pm to 11pm, Sunday 4pm to 9pm and Monday closed.
